OUR FELLOWSHIP...
First Baptist Church is known for its friendly,
family spirit. The warm, personal interest in the individual is the key to this
outstanding fellowship. First Baptist was constituted on January 1, 1875, called
"The Baptist Church of Christ at Swainsboro." In 1948, the present
building was built and four additions added on the present site. The church is
composed of all ages of people - Preschool, Children, Youth, Adults. All
people are welcome
We are eager to know you and for you to know us. We are
excited to share with you the marvelous ways God works in people and in our
church. Growing together in Christ, we worship, serve, laugh, cry, learn and
reach out to our community and world with the Gospel. Our doors are open. Our
journey with God is a progressing one as we follow Christ.
OUR PROGRAM...
Our church program emphasizes the
importance of the individual Christian and the collective efforts of shared
faith. This depends upon the dedicated women and men who make up its leadership.
Every member is to fulfill his or her membership through
active and positive presence, support, and tithes and offerings. You will find
the mutual emphasis upon fellowship, education, worship and ministry to, for,
and by all ages.

OUR INVITATION...
To Christians moving to Swainsboro:
A common question is: "How can we decide which church to join?" Two considerations will guide you in decision making:
(1) Join the church where you
will be encouraged to develop your Christian life in mind and heart.
(2) Join the church where
your life will count the maximum in Christ's service and in ministry and
maturity of faith.
To those without church affiliation:
If you have never become a Christian, we offer you
guidance and instruction in finding a vital faith in God through Christ.
